Technology & Engineering Education Department
Technology & Engineering Education is hands-on, problem-based learning.
The goal of CCSU's program is to prepare people to teach technology and engineering in Connecticut schools.
Upon completion of the program students become certified by the State Department of Education to teach grades K-12. The job placement rate of CCSU T&E teachers since 2001 has been over 99%. The new teachers are contributing to the introduction of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in Connecticut school districts. The Commissioner of Education has declared Technology Education as a 'teacher shortage area'.
Funding for recruitment of first year students to the program is welcomed.
