Sociology Department

The Department of Sociology prepares students for careers in a broad range of human service, research based, and activist organizations. The faculty and curriculum emphasize community engagement and the development of professional research and communication skills that are crucial tools for success in our current labor market. Sociology students consistently present their original research at regional and national conferences as well as participating in research projects that benefit local organizations in the state of Connecticut.
